This new Vita replaces the original s OLED screen with a LCD one and thus Sony say the battery should last one extra hour. Additionally the unit will now come with a built 1GB memory card for saves and charges off a Micro USB port.
The new Vita 2000 is set to launch in about a month on October 10 and will cost 18980 yen or about 190 USD. There doesn t appear to be a 3G model. The new model comes bundled with a 90 day subscription vico magistretti to Playstation Plus.
It looks like Sony is trying to undercut the launch of Pokemon X & Y with this new PS Vita. Good move from a business standpoint. This website is cool and all but why is everything non Nintendo always bashed. Seriously everything Nintendo is cool but Sony and Microsoft always seem to be in the wrong. All 3 companies have their goods and bars. Nintendo is my favorite of the 3 but enough of all the bashing. The vita is not doing that well Sony is trying to make it relevant but all you seem to care about is bashing them. You talk about ign being bad but you guys are becoming them.
Okay, three things; First, If Sony would stop doing stupid things, I would stop mentioning them. Second, Microsoft destroyed Rare, anything good they may have done or will do will never make up for that. Third, Nintendo has done some things I'm less than happy about, such as alienating Square which has lead to what seems to be a permanent embargo on FF games being on a Nintendo home console… I've mentioned this before. In conclusion, the major problems in gaming seem to stem from the westernization of gaming, where developers don't actually want to make a good game but instead are always trying to make franchises or big multimillion vico magistretti dollar sellers without putting in the ground work to make it so. When Sony and Microsoft have earned their ticket, then they can get a pass.
Calling it now, Sony will go bankrupt in two years time. This isn't a good move in my opinion, it's desperate. Not in a million years would a Vita remodel be able to take down Pokémon X and Y.
Oh, shit! A PSVita remodel, you all know what that means, Nintendo is doomed and going out of business, Pokemon X and Y became irrelevant because the Vita is now in all the colors of the rainbow vico magistretti and Sony will now dominate the handheld market, FOREVER! vico magistretti LOL!
Absurdities vico magistretti aside, thank you Sony for at least including 1 GB of internal memory for the games on the Vita so you wouldn't have to buy a proprietary memory card right away. I don't know how long that GB will last since Sony has made some of the most inefficient pieces vico magistretti of hardware in recent memory. Baby steps, Sony, baby steps, a couple more Vita remodels and you could finally have a handheld device that is worth to stand in the long shadow cast by the 3DS.
However….if you only want the PSV2K and Killzone Mercenary….you do need to buy an extra memory card, or don't update the game. It has a day 1 patch that is 1.1GB in size….so….yeah.
Sony, this why we can't have nice things because you keep on being so stingy with your memory and your goddamned proprietary formats. Also, why the fuck does a handheld game need a day one patch with a size of 1.1 GB!! Couldn't you delay the game just a little to include it on the cartridge!
MS is pulling the exact same stuff with Forza…..and the console itself. The KZ:M patch is at least optional, it's vico magistretti just performance and stability fixes. With the X1…you NEED to connect to the internet in order to download the day 1 update, otherwise you'll get error messages (I think it's the "Remove DRM patch" since it wasn't announced until after they pulled it) and with Forza, you get like….80 or 90% of the game, with the res tbeing downloaded in a day 1 patch. You can play the game without the content, but you can't complete it.
1 gig of memory on the vita is nothing… that's like one full size downloadable title (a small one) and no way you're going to be able to get a psn game on there (like gta
