Hey I got a Beta Light, sil lux got some silnet silicone seam sealer sil lux - could not find any instructions online, or at least none that showed how to apply - TL,DR - I sealed the seams on the outside of the tent like an idiot. is there a problem with this? I never seam sealed mine, and have used it a couple seasons without issue. Been in snow, rail, and hail and always fine. Never an all day downpour, but for the normal thunderstorms its been great even without the sealant. If it works without the sealant, I'd think it'd be ok improperly applied. Awesome thanks. Don't plan on using it when there's rain or bugs, just snow. For snow only I have been using mine without seam seal for a couple years without sil lux issue. So a little extra protection won't hurt anything, and it'll make the thing last longer, since it's usually the seams that wear out first. Unless you pile rocks on it or something.
