While the earlier inventors had created the electric light in laboratories since a demonstration of a glowing wire made by Alessandro Volta in 1800, Edison osram australia had concentrated on commercial application, and was able to sell the concept to homes and businesses by mass-produce relatively long life bulbs and creating a complete system for generation and distribution of electricity.
