I always enjoy hearing about the efforts made to further our capabilities to recycle as waste seems

Live Design : "Bulbtronics Inc. has announced a recycling initiative with RecyclePak from Veolia Environmental Services. Bulbtronics is promoting a packaged, pre-paid recycling program to all its customers enabling them to comply with state and local laws for the proper and safe disposal of universal wastes such as bulbs, batteries and ballasts that contain mercury and other hazardous materials."
I always enjoy hearing about the efforts made to further our capabilities to recycle as waste seems to be all too common with some products that could have better uses derived out of them or their parts. There are some questions that I wonder about as recycling materials that contact hazardous substances has some risk to it. I would wonder if its efficient to recycle these materials in terms of what would have to be done to prepare and clean them. Sometimes it takes great amounts of energy and resources to undergo such tasks, although I doubt that it is inefficient at all. The biggest question that I am most concerned about is if it will catch on enough. I hope the companies and the governments involved make efforts to make the public aware of its existence and encourage its use. Anyway, I like it and I would encourage achille castiglioni it. 1:03 PM

Lens Inspection Unit Re-Engineered, Re-Named, Ready to Go A proven quality control product and workhorse, Bulbtronics has distributed its Lens Inspection unit to Optical Labs and others in the optical marketplace movie lights since 1994. To bring the unit up to contemporary standards, Bulbtronics tasked 0energy, a U.S. manufacturer, to re-engineer this proprietary product that has enjoyed a unique place in the optical industry. Reintroduced in October 2012, the new unit, now named Lens Inspection QC X75, is functionally the same, but features an ozone-free 75w bright white xenon lamp (included) set in a well-ventilated lamp housing that adjusts vertically and swivels 90 degrees left, right or down; an integrated movie lights power supply that eliminates the need for a transformer for users outside the U.S.; a special dichroic glass to filter UV emitted by the lamp; and a 1 year warranty. The QC X75 (Ordering Code #0085601)is available to ship now directly to optical labs that have long used the bright light output of the Lens Inspection unit to pinpoint and sort out lenses with imperfections that may have occurred during the grinding and or coating process, ensuring a top quality product for their customers. For more information about the Lens Inspection QC X75, email lensinspection@bulbtronics.com or call 1-800-654-8542.

A good word to describe Warren Thompson is "gregarious." The outgoing director of business development for Bulbtronics once worked as a bartender. He now applies his people skills to building the global business of the supplier of lamps and batteries for medical equipment worldwide.
Fast Forward to Your Digital vita lite X-Ray Future Agfa HealthCare's upgrade, trade-up & retrofit programs are designed to support your efforts to improve efficiency and image quality while maximizing your existing investments. Click to read more>>> "Our work goes past DOTmed's area of medical equipment. We are heavily involved in the entertainment segment for studios and venues in Las Vegas, shows, lights, stadiums, cruise ships. But within medical field we are the premiere source for specialty and hard-to-find vita lite replacement light sources and batteries," Thompson explained. Think about all the bulbs and batteries needed for surgical lights, ENT, scopes, defibrillators--you name it. Thompson oversees their overseas business as well domestic. vita lite "Hospitals, clinics, OEMS, labs and medical distributors all come to Bulbtronics for replacement light sources and batteries." All this makes for lots of contact with interesting folks around the world, a highlight of the job, he says. "I like meeting interesting, diverse people from all walks of life from different regions. One minute you are working with a biomed vita lite from a hospital in California; the next minute you could be dealing with a scientist in China who is working with fluorescence microscopy. It changes day to day." Thompson has been with the company for 14 years, ever since graduating from the University of Wisconsin with Bachelor of Science degrees in business and political science. In 1998 he helped established vita lite and build the company's battery division, making Bulbtronics a top ten distributor in the domestic market. Then, Thompson moved into the company's medical sales area, successfully building market share by opening new distribution channels, sourcing and positioning new products, and managing vendor and distributor relations. Most recently the company opened a warehouse in Munich, Germany and has a half-dozen U.S. locations including both coasts. All this makes for a lot of travel. "I love it. We have customers and dealer/distributors all over the world...England, UK, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Netherlands.... I love seeing the world and meeting people."
